Pianist Alexis Ffrench, known to many Classic FM listeners, has just released a new sheet music publication for Boosey & Hawkes ...

Boosey & Hawkes are delighted to announce the launch of Alexis Ffrench's The Secret Piano - an album that draws on influences as diverse as evocative classical minimalism, meditative trance and romantic lyricism and, although a fresh and original voice, is certain to delight fans of such composers as Ludovico Einaudi, Philip Glass and Ryuichi Sakamoto. It was featured every day on Classic FM Radio during one week in 2011 as ‘CD of the week’ on the Mark Forrest show, and there's been lots of interest since.
The book contains 12 of Ffrench's most haunting melodies, including Arioso, A moment in time, The piano sings and the title track. All the pieces are arranged for the intermediate pianist. Ffrench’s music has been described as haunting, mesmerizing, spellbinding and, above all, deeply moving – the embodiment of beauty and calm in an otherwise frantic world. Alexis will also be touring The Secret Piano album in the UK and USA in 2012.
