WATCH BREATHTAKING PERFORMANCES BY THESE PIANO STARS

Gold medallist Yunchan Lim (18, South Korea) dazzled in his Semifinal round performance of the complete Liszt Transcendental Etudes: 

 

At the opposite end of the musical spectrum, silver medallist Anna Geniushene (31, Russia) lovingly caressed the keys in Brahms Four Ballades Op 10 in her Quarterfinal performance: 

 

Bronze medallist Dmytro Choni (28, Ukraine) played a feisty Prokofiev Concerto No 3 – with Marin Alsop and the Forth Worth Symphony Orchestra – as one of his Finals Concerto performances:

 

But the last word (or video clip) goes to Yunchan Lim, for his breathtaking account of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No 3. It brought the house down!
