Congratulations to James Robinson from Surrey. He gets his hands on Korg’s top-of-the-range digital piano worth over £1,150. (Oh, and he gets to choose the colour too!)
The piano goes to a great home: James is a full-time pianist attached to the Countess of Wessex's String Orchestra, a unit in the Corps of Army Music. Based in Woolwich, they perform at all Investitures, State Banquets and other events at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and other Royal venues. They also perform at diplomatic and military events such as the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance and the recent World War I commemorations in Ypres, Belgium.
Hear how Chopin, Debussy and Joplin sounds on the G1 Air:
James is married to Laura, a flautist in the Band of the Household Cavalry. They recently got married and he tells us that they don’t yet have a good digital piano at home, having moved into Army accommodation, so this comes at the perfect time!
We wish them many hours of happy music-making.
