The official closing act of the 2017 All About Piano festival

8pm on Sunday 2 April at the Institut français, London

The internationally renowned musicians The Piano Brothers will be the official closing act of this year’s All About Piano festival. The performance, which takes place at the Institut français on Sunday 2 April 2017 at 8.00pm, is currently their only scheduled performance in the UK this year offering an exclusive chance to enjoy the duo’s talents before they return to their international tour.

The Piano Brothers are Dominic Anthony Ferris (UK) and Elwin Hendrijanto (Indonesia). They met in 2009 whilst studying at the Royal College of Music and have since been touring regularly across the UK, Europe and Asia. The Piano Brothers have quickly become recognised as one of today’s most adventurous, cutting-edge piano duos, performing their own original compositions as well as arrangements of such diverse musical styles as Bernstein and Coldplay.

In 2013, Steinway commissioned The Piano Brothers to compose the soundtrack for a new film in association with The Telegraph, entitled The Making of a Steinway Model B. The film, which  demonstrates the construction process of a Steinway grand piano inside the walls of the world famous Hamburg factory, is available to watch on YouTube. In 2014, Dominic and Elwin provided piano recordings for the opening ceremony of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games and more recently featured on the million-selling Elvis Presley album If I Can Dream with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, topping the UK and iTunes charts.
