Free music lessons on an array of instruments in over 120 participating music shops and venues throughout the weekend of 24-25 June

 

Music for All’s national Learn to Play Day returns for the sixth successive year on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June 2017 at a music venue near you. The UK-wide event will offer the general public the chance to take part in free ‘taster’ lessons on a musical instrument.

 

Ambassadors for the event include Gareth Malone OBE, Dame Evelyn Glennie, Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Rodrigo y Gabriela, Rick Wakeman, Al Murray, Rick Astley, Howard Jones and Patron Jools Holland. See what Jools has to say:

Over the weekend of the 2017 event, over 120 venues put on events which delivered more than 12,000 FREE instrument ‘taster’ lessons at arrange of venues including music shops, schools, churches and other venues throughout the UK. On the day, people who have never played, people who used to play and people who wanted to try an alternative instrument all came to come and learn!
