The Philadelphia-based festival will take place on line from 1-9 August

The Philadelphia Young Pianist's Academy is set to host its annual festival online next week.

Current global events have forced the PYPA Piano Festival – and many other festivals – to move online. Thankfully, this hasn't affected the impressive line-up of pianists that PYPA had booked in.

Gary Graffman (former Curtis Institute president), Ching-Yun Hu (PYPA founder), Jerome Lowenthal (Juilliard pedagogue) and Pierre Van Der Westhuizen (Director, Gilmore Keyboard Festival) are among the big names who will be hosting masterclasses and performances throughout the week.

The likes of  Ursula Oppens, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Alexandre Moutouzkine, Gila Goldstein, Idith Zvi, and Mac McClure will also make appearances. See the full schedule below:

126 Hours of Celebrity Master Classes given by Gary Graffman, Ching-Yun Hu, Jerome Lowenthal, Ursula Oppens, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, and Alexandre Moutouzkine.

2 Insider Lectures and Panel Discussions by Gilmore Keyboard Festival Director Pierre Van Der Westhuizen and Idith Zvi, Emeritus Artistic Director of Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Israel.

6 Exclusive Studio Concerts performed by PYPA young artists, led by esteemed guest faculty, Gila Goldstein of Tanglewood Institute for Young Artists, Mac McClure of National University in Colombia, and William Carr of Immaculata University.

Audience Q & A after Lectures/Concerts: All lectures and studio concerts conclude with Q & A sessions with audience members.
