Yamaha Music London announces ‘Polish Music Week’ in association with the Polish Cultural Institute  – a new music festival which will take place between the 11 -15 November at Yamaha Music London’s central Soho location.

The event is designed to celebrate Poland’s cultural connections with the UK and to showcase the next generation of great Polish artists for Polish, British and multicultural audiences.

The opening event on 11 November coincides with Polish National Independence day and throughout the week a diverse programme will encompass classical, opera and jazz performances. There will also be a special Expo of sheet music from many of Poland's most celebrated composers featuring music published by Chester & Polskie Wydawnicto Muzyczne (PWM).

Tickets are free of charge but demand is expected to be high so early booking is advised.

All performers are currently London-based and already widely regarded as some the most creative young musicians from Poland. An extensive repertoire will be showcased during the week, including works from Fryderyk Chopin, Karol Szymanowski, Henryk Wieniawski, Witold Lutoslawski and Grazyna Bacewicz.

Yamaha Music London, ‘the world's most inspiring music store’ is located in the heart of Soho and is one of a select international network of Yamaha flagship stores throughout the world. Encompassing three floors of musical instruments, sheet music and accessories, the store is without parallel and is widely regarded as one of the best in the world.

Yamaha Music London’s Tomasz Zyrmont is one of the organising team and comments, “This is such an exciting project – and a unique opportunity for London's music lovers to experience the very best of new Polish musicians. It's also a great opportunity for the capital’s music lovers to hear some exceptional Polish repertoire!”
