Jeneba Kanneh-Mason, part of the well-known Kanneh-Mason family, will take to the stage for her Harrogate International Sunday Series debut on 26 February.
The Series has given debuts to some of the world's best musicians, including Jeneba's brother Sheku (cellist) and sister Isata (pianist).
The pianist will appear at the Harrogate International Sunday Series on 26 February
Jeneba – who currently studies piano with Vanessa Latarche at the Royal College of Music – will perform a selection of works by Shostakovich, Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Prokofiev, as well as an exclusive performance of Florence Price’s Fantasie Negre for the recital.
Jeneba comments on her repertoire choices: “This programme has a large range of repertoire - from Prokofiev and Beethoven to Shostakovich. The individual pieces in the Romeo and Juliet and the Estampes show the importance of story-telling in music, which is something I am drawn to.”
