The Event on 16 March takes place at the Premium Grand Piano Showroom at Chris Venables Pianos in Ringwood, where it will be transformed into an intimate and exclusive concert venue where Artur Pizarro will educate, perform and entertain a select audience, comprising pianists and those appreciative of classical piano. Artur Pizarro performs courtesy of Yamaha who chose Chris Venables Pianos to host the event, after they became the first piano dealer in the country to stock both of the company's luxurious new CF4 and CF6 Premium Handcrafted Grand Pianos. Artur Pizarro will perform using both of the new Premium Handcrafted Grand Pianos that take pride of place at Chris Venables Pianos for the evening concert.
Masterclasses Yamaha is also offering the opportunity for pianists above Grade 5 standard to be chosen personally by Pizarro to participate as one of four pianists in the master class. Anyone interested to apply should email a letter (max 250 words) for Artur to by Thursday 7 March, together with age and contact details, stating why they’d like to participate, their level of playing experience and best known repertoire.
Yamaha on the Day Throughout Saturday 16 March experts from Yamaha will be on hand to offer advice and those attending will be able to take advantage of some exclusive offers including special deals to upgrade their existing piano. This is the first time the whole range of Yamaha’s CF Series pianos has been available for pianists to see, hear and try outside of London, let alone experience them in one performance by a major concert artist. Yamaha appreciates that many pianists from the region will want to have the rare opportunity to experience the CFX that will remain on display at Chris Venables Pianos for customers to try by appointment, from 14-19 March. To introduce the evening concert, Yamaha will present the ‘CF Series Development Story’, that offers a fascinating insight into the development of Yamaha’s CF Series, spanning its 19 years. This video and presentation unlocks the many secrets of prototypes and testing with concert pianists around the world at different artist centres and competitions.
