In its Victorian chapel showroom, an excellent range of new and guaranteed used upright and grand pianos to suit all abilities are on show, with some available on its monthly rental scheme.

The showroom has a fully equipped restoration workshop, and its tuning service covers most of Lincolnshire, Rutland and parts of north Cambridgeshire.

Described as an "Aladdin’s cave of pianos", this charming shop has a wide range of instruments to suit players of all kinds. 

Established by Pianist contributor Nigel Scaife, The Piano Shop's workshop specialises in restoring German pianos such as those of Bechstein, Blüthner and Steinway.

There are always reconditioned Yamaha U1 and U3 pianos and a range of quality English makes, such as Knight, Welmar and Kemble, to try out as well. 

The shop also stocks new Kawai digital and acoustic pianos – so it’s well worth a visit to The Piano Shop, which is just south of Tunbridge Wells and 45 minutes by train from Charing Cross.

John Morley harpsichords, spinets and clavichords are also available, as is factory restoration and local tuning.
