Injury forces Yunchan Lim to cancel upcoming tour dates

The South Korean pianist has been forced to cancel five upcoming dates, including two London dates

Yunchan Lim has been forced to cancel upcoming tour dates due to a strain in his hand. He is currently undertaking physical therapy in order to rectify the issue.

The following dates have been cancelled:

  • 27 March – Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London
  • 30 March – Peralada Festival, Spain
  • 6 April – Gewandhaus, Leipzig
  • 8 April – Wigmore Hall, London
  • 10 April – Fondazione La Società dei Concerti, Milan

In a statement, Lim said, "Performing and sharing music is my great joy, and I am heartbroken that I am unable to give these concerts. I am so sorry for any disappointment this causes. I am working with doctors for a quick recovery and to prevent a similar problem in the future.

“I offer my deepest apologies and thank you for your understanding. I look forward to returning to play with these incredible orchestras and concert and recital halls in the near future.”
