London Mozart Players & Howard Shelley are joined by John Suchet for an exploration of Mozart

On 7 December 2016, London Mozart Players and Howard Shelley perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 15 for the fourth concert in Mozart Explored, their lunchtime concert series at St John’s Smith Square. John Suchet (pictured below), the voice of morning radio on Classic FM, will attend the concert to do a book signing of his recent release ‘Mozart, The Man Revealed’ after the performance.

John Suchet’s comprehensive biography of Mozart examines the many myths and misunderstandings surrounding the world's best-loved composer - From his early days as a child prodigy performing for the imperial royal family in Vienna, to the last months of his life.

The works chosen for this series of Mozart Explored span the entire period of Mozart’s piano concerto writing. In these concerts, Howard Shelley and London Mozart Players uncover the details of Mozart’s work, exploring the dialogue between piano and orchestra, and revealing themes and nuances of Mozart’s compositions.

Julia Desbruslais, Executive Director of LMP commented on the upcoming performance:

‘We are delighted to be welcoming John Suchet to this performance, the fourth concert in the Mozart Explored 2016/17 series. John’s latest book is a fascinating exploration of Mozart’s life – the perfect accompaniment to a concert series that aims to map the story of Mozart’s piano concerto writing and perform many of his magnificent works.’

Audience members will also be invited to join the LMP after the performance for complementary Christmas cake whilst the book signing is going on.
