The BBC has launched BBC Maestro, where brand new courses are taught by some of the most experienced creators in the world

Gary Barlow, lead singer of Take That, teaches the Songwriting course direct from his piano. He gives 29 lessons on the topic, including advice on how to choose your first keyboard, how to find your voice, switching from major to minor, experimenting with chords, and more.

The singer and songwriter comments: "I’ve been studying composition, songwriting and performance for the better part of 30 years. I’ve learnt a few things along the way; things that help the process, things that inspire the process. Hopefully this course will inspire you. Maybe you’re going to write something today that is going to change the course of your life forever.”
