Granados placed La mendiga (The Little Beggar-Girl) second in his Cuentos de la Juventud (Stories for the Young). I just loved learning this piece – it’s just so poignant and sad and full of gorgeous harmonies. It’s just three pages long and is for the intermediate player.

You can watch our talented house pianist Chenyin Li perform it too – another incentive to go out and get your hands on the current issue and start learning this piece!

Enjoy
