We are delighted to welcome American pianist Dr Josh Wright for an exciting masterclass on tackling piano performance anxiety!
Josh, a Billboard #1 Artist, will delve into strategies for overcoming performance anxiety that he has picked up from world-class teachers and performers, as well as from his own experience competing and performing internationally. These will include changing one's mindset, pre-concert routines, and more.
During his career, Josh has won prizes at a number of competitions including at the 2014 Washington International Piano Competition, the 2013 Heida Hermanns International Piano Competition, the 2013 Rosamond P. Haeberle Piano Award competition, the 2010 Seattle International Piano Competition, and the 2010 American Protége International Competition of Romantic Music.
He has amassed a huge YouTube following of over 170,000 subscribers over the last few years, regularly posting free online piano lessons, featuring concepts that help students develop a solid and sound technique. He is also the founder of the ProPractice Piano Academy.
How to Tackle Piano Performance Anxiety takes place LIVE on Zoom on Thursday 8 September at 7pm BST. The masterclass is approx. 1 hour long and will include a Q&A. Attendees are not required to perform. Simply bring yourselves and a notepad, and you are good to go. If you cannot attend the webinar live, you will still receive a recording of the session the following day.
