A walk-in piano lesson service will also be available for players of all ages and abilities.

Casio Music UK have announced their Learn To Play Day 2019 - a free, intimate live gig with London-based, future-soul artist Jodie Abacus. Alongside this will be a ‘walk-in’ piano lesson service.

Taking place on Saturday 23rd March at the refreshed Casio showroom of the Musicroom store on London’s Denmark Street, fans will have the opportunity to witness up close one of the UK’s most soulful singer-songwriters.

Whether being hailed by Elton John or supporting Corrine Bailey Rae on tour, Jodie Abacus’ pop-infused soulful funk is recognised worldwide, with the piano at the heart of his songwriting process. Jodie will be treating attendees to a rare and special stripped back acoustic set on the brand-new Casio PX-S1000 digital piano. What’s more, he will also be sharing his insights into his songwriting craft and offering tips for all budding musicians.

Jodie Abacus commented: “I’m looking forward to celebrating ‘Learn to Play Day’ with Casio, and if I can help shine a light on encouraging people to learn piano then even better!"

Ahead of the free gig at 2pm, a ‘walk-in’ piano lesson service will be hosted from 11am-1pm. Pianists of all playing abilities and ages are welcome and the Principal Tutor of Encore Music Tuition, Liz Giannopoulos, will be on hand to help everyone learn and play something musical in just five minutes.
