A170

The Phoenix Model A170 is the smallest grand in a range of eight pianos (three uprights: 122, 130 and 138cm height, and five grands: 170, 192, 212, 232 and 272cm length), designed in the UK for use by professionals and skilled amateurs. Phoenix pianos contain world-leading technology. The high acoustic efficiency bridge agraffes remove string down-bearing loads, freeing the soundboard to vibrate without restriction and thus enhancing instrument performance. Life-limiting, gradual soundboard collapse is thereby also eliminated. A computer optimised, ultra-thin carbon fibre soundboard generates more high-quality sound from the same finger energy input and also affords climate resistance.

The exceptionally responsive, sensitive, low friction and humidity resistant WNG action is made of composites including carbon fibre.

This modestly priced baby grand has a performance normally associated with pianos of far greater size. It is ideal for public performance in medium-sized venues.

Pianist Anton Lyakhovsky remarks: ‘When playing my Phoenix Model A170, it is difficult to remember this baby isn’t a full size concert grand. The lightning-fast action enables a special performance not available on any other piano I have encountered. The deep, powerful and rich bass sound is unequalled in any piano of similar dimensions.’

Hear the Phoenix A170 in performance, or visit its Sevenoaks studios: www.hurstwoodfarmpianos.co.uk (by appointment please at weekends). You can compare the Phoenix range with other leading makes of piano including Steingraeber,

Bechstein, Steinway and Blüthner. UK mainland delivery to ground floor and free first service is included.
