At the heart of the instrument is the Tri-Sensor II keyboard mechanism, providing 88 weighted keys with simulated ebony and ivory key surfaces, ensuring a reliable and authentic touch for even the most demanding of repertoire.

The discreet control panel positioned to the left of the keyboard guides you through a variety of functions, some of which are unique to Casio. These include ‘Concert Play’, a must for any ambitious musician, where you can play along to recordings of a real symphony orchestra. There’s a Hall Simulator too, where the piano creates a stunning simulation of the acoustics of famous concert halls, including the Sydney Opera house and the Berlin Philharmoniker.

Learners will appreciate Casio’s companion app, called Chordana Play, which is available for iOS and Android devices. The app contains a wealth of popular piano repertoire, all available to view as an electronic score. What’s more, Chordana will show you how to play any piece in the library in a fun, visual way.

The PX-870 benefits from the latest update to Casio’s award-winning AiR sound source. This is combined with a Sound Projection speaker system, which recreates a remarkably natural piano sound-field that suits the homeor music studio perfectly.
