Casio GP-510BP

Combining traditional piano craftsmanship with Casio’s technological expertise, the GP-510BP is the result of painstaking research by both companies into how the touch and sound of an acoustic piano can be recreated in a digital instrument.

EXTRA FEATURES:

  • Austrian spruce keys as used in C. Bechstein grand pianos
  • Action: Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard with moving hammer mechanism
  • Internal sounds: 35 / Polyphony: 256
  • Speaker System: 6-speaker Grand Acoustic System

The Natural Grand Hammer Action keyboard is modeled on C. Bechstein’s own design. This means that each key on the Grand Hybrid is made from the same Austrian Spruce wood as its acoustic counterpart and has the same key-length, for an authentic touch response. The keyboard mechanism also incorporates moving hammers that follow the same path of motion as in a concert grand piano.

This second generation of Grand Hybrid builds further upon Casio’s AiR Grand Sound Source technology to reproduce the distinctive tones of three prestigious European grand pianos, named Berlin, Hamburg and Vienna. The Berlin Grand sound was developed in collaboration with C. Bechstein and is a digital recreation of the eminent D282 concert instrument.

Further digital enhancements include Concert Play (a library of exquisite orchestral recordings which can be played along to) and Scene Setting, where pianists can store their own bespoke piano setups or explore pre-made ones designed to bring out the best in works by Debussy, Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt and much more.
