Perianes features on the cover of the brand-new issue of Pianist, which is a Spanish special. So, we thought we'd take a look back through the YouTube archives and find some of his best live performances...

Nächte in spanischen Gärten – Falla

Content continues after advertisements

Live from the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2016, Perianes performed Falla's Nächte in spanischen Gärten (Nights in the Gardens of Spain) alongside the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and violinist Andrés Orozco-Estrada.

Danza ritual del fuego – Falla

Perianes further blessed the ears of those in attendance at the Alte Oper in June 2016 with a performance of Falla's Danza ritual del fuego, which you can see is heavy on the use of fast, repetitive trills and ornaments. Bravo!

Piano Concerto No 4 – Beethoven

Another stunning performance from the Alte Oper, this time of a Beethoven classic.

Venetianisches Gondellied - Mendelssohn

A stunning performance live from Bimhuis Amsterdam. We could watch this at least 30 times over.

Mazurka Op 17 No 4 – Chopin

Last but certainly not least, we finish up with this delicate, gorgeous performance of a Chopin Mazurka. Perianes features on the cover of issue 124 of Pianist.
