Anthony Cheng


Anthony is a multimedia journalist, pianist, photographer, filmmaker and writer. 

As a classical pianist, he studied under a scholarship at the RWCMD with Professor James Kirby. As part of his performance degree he has performed in multiple Steinway & Sons masterclasses with Yevgeny Subdin, Jeremy Denk, Freddy Kempf, Llyr Williams and Cordelia Williams. In his final year, he performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto in C Major No 1 with Tianyi Lu in the Dora Stouztker Hall, RWCMD. 

After studying International Journalism at Cardiff University, he is now a journalist both in current affairs and music. He produces for Mariella Frostrup, John Pienaar, Alexis Conran and Ruth Davidson at Times Radio, partnered with The Times & Sunday Times. To accompany his radio producing, he is also producer, editor and host of his own podcast on YouTube, FORTE Podcast, where he's interviewed artists such as June Mendoza OBE, Ron Corp OBE, Dai Fujikura, Jans Swafford, Vanessa Latarche, and many more. He's also a podcast producer for author/entrepreneur Julia Hobsbawm OBE and author/journalist for The Guardian and the FT, Stefan Stern. 

Finally, Anthony is building his filmmaking portfolio. Here he produces, directs, and edits his short documentaries on figures of interest.
