Yamaha Music UK have revealed that the legendary Japanese pianist and composer Hiromi will perform a one-off solo concert at their flagship Soho based Yamaha Music London store on 11 October.

A longstanding Yamaha artist, Hiromi is without question one of the most inventive and explosive pianists of her generation, and this concert follows a recent acclaimed and sell-out performance at the BBC Proms where she performed Gershwin with the Winston Rollins big Band.

Displaying a creative energy that defies the conventional boundaries of jazz, Hiromi constantly takes musicianship and composition to new heights and this rare London performance will see her debuting Yamaha’s new SX handcrafted range.

With tickets free of charge and limited to just 40, this event is a unique opportunity to experience Hiromi at such close quarters in the intimate surroundings of Yamaha Music London. In between two 25-minute sets, Jazz FM will host a rare Q&A session with Hiromi, where she’ll discuss her unique approach to music and the piano, providing an exceptionally informative and inspiring insight into what goes into making ‘the Hiromi Experience’ so special and globally captivating.

Doors open 6pm and with the evening due to finish approximately at 8pm, Yamaha Music London expect demand for tickets to hugely exceed supply, so enter the competition asap to snap up a pair of FREE TICKETS!
