Classic FM’s Music Teacher of the Year Awards - with Casio and ABRSM

 

With just three days left to enter the awards, Casio are working with schools across the UK – including The BRIT School and East London Arts and Music – to celebrate the achievements of music teachers nationwide.

 

The Music Teacher of the Year Awards form part of Casio’s ‘Action in Music’ initiative which shines a spotlight on outstanding music education in the UK.

 

Casio’s ‘Action in Music’ ambassador and former music teacher, Laura Mvula (pictured) will join Classic FM, Casio and ABRSM on a panel of expert industry judges, to select the winner from each award category.

 

The awards comprise of five categories: Primary, Secondary, Peripatetic, Special Education Needs and Lifetime Achievement. Mvula, herself a former music teacher, will join Classic FM, Casio and ABRSM on a panel of expert industry judges, to select the winner from each award category.

The Awards will be presented at a major event at the Barbican Centre on 7 July. Organised by ABRSM, the event showcases the very best in UK music education. Each of the five winners will receive a Celviano Grand Hybrid by Casio for themselves, their schools or music services.
