Nominations now open for the Royal Philharmonic Society (RPS) Music Awards
It's time to revisit 2017, and to nominate the live music, performers and organisations that have made a difference to the way you think, feel, understand and listen to music.
Each year, through its annual RPS Music Awards, the Royal Philharmonic Society celebrates outstanding achievement in live music. Nominations are made the length and breadth of the country and in recent years have reflected not just the passion and enthusiasm for the many outstanding musical performances in our concert halls, opera houses and festivals, but a powerful recognition for organisations who are making a profound difference to people’s lives through music.
Awards are made in 13 categories, ranging from individual awards to musicians, singers, conductors, young artists, awards for opera, for ensembles and composers, to awards for the very finest projects that develop wider audiences and encourage learning and wider participation in music (the RPS were the first to recognise the importance of this area of work). Shortlists and winners are selected by independent juries of leading music professionals, with winners announced each May at a glittering awards ceremony at The Brewery in London.
Nominations are now open and close midnight on Tuesday 16 January 2018.
