Guess what? We're turning 20 years old this October!

Issue 122 of Pianist, out on 17 September, will mark exactly 20 years since the very first issue back in October 2001. How time flies!

Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes was our very first cover star back then. We've since featured the world's biggest and best piano names including Lang Lang, Yuja Wang, Ludovico EinaudiAndrás Schiff, Mitsuko Uchida, Jools Holland, Gabriela Monteroand so many more. Pianist editor Erica Worth takes a trip down memory lane inside the upcoming issue.

What's inside issue 122?

We are delighted that Russian superstar Daniil Trifonov will be gracing the cover of our birthday issue. Trifonov is a Grammy Award-winning artist, as well as a past winner of Gramophone's Classical Music Awards’ Artist of the Year Award and Instrumentalist Award of the Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards.

 

Daniil Trifonov graces the cover of issue 122 of Pianist. He also appeared on the cover of issue 79 back in 2014.
