How does it work?

Applicants are required to fill in an application form and submit a video performance of either Classical or Modern music, with performances not exceeding 15 minutes. One winner will be chosen from each category. A full breakdown of the criteria, rules and prize information can be found on the submissions page here.

What is the prize?

Yamaha will supply two incredible pianos for the two winners – A Yamaha U1 and a Yamaha CLP 775. The pianos will be assigned to the winners at random. (Depending on territory, piano models may vary slightly depending on stock availability.)

The package of online exposure includes a range of social media coverage with both Pianist magazine and Yamaha, including coverage inside Pianist magazine.

Erica Worth, editor of Pianist, comments: “There are lots of unknown, talented piano players out there – people from all walks of life who practise hard and play to a high standard for the sheer love of the instrument – who know full well that they might never be heard. Now’s their chance!”

We can't wait to hear your performances!
