The popular, pretty ‘Cancíon de Mayo’ means ‘May Song’, and comes from a collection by the Spanish composer Enrique Granados, which he composed in Barcelona. Published in 1910 but likely written several years before, Cuentos de la juventud means ‘Stories of the young’ and comprises ten characteristic pieces.
